Thickstun Glass is a family-owned business currently located at 1314 W. 7th Street
in Bloomington Indiana. They provide a complete line of commercial, residential, and automotive
glass services for your Home or Business. Thickstun Glass was originally started in the 1950s
by Garnet and Alma Thickstun. In 1995, The Sterling Company bought Thickstun Glass after it
(Thickstun Glass) was declared bankrupt. The Sterling Company assumed and repaid all
of Thickstun Glass outstanding debts and re-established Thickstun Glass as a reputable company.
Donald Sterling began his career in the glass business as a young man working and learning the glass business
as an apprentice in his family's glass shop. After more than twenty years of dedicated service to the glass business,
The Sterling Company is owned and managed by his wife, Diane Sterling. Don and Diane offer over
65 years of combined experience in the glass business.
Thickstun Glass continues to provide an outstanding history of quality glass services to
Bloomington, Monroe County, and the surrounding areas and counties. Thickstun Glass has operated
in Bloomington for over 50 years and for the past thirteen years has been operated by the Sterling Company
at its current location on 7th street.
